"Founders' Fables" Laurie Cockerell Travis Dougherty 9780984560905 Books

Every kid should read or be read this book. It instills actual values, not whatever happens to be trendy and therefore good and moral. It's a shame to see the brainwashing of msm directed at our children, some of us are unwilling to see our children turned into liberal zombies incapable of rational thought and free and open discussion.

Great item!
A great book in great condition!
great
Good book for the little ones
I ordered this book because my husband and I read to my son each night, and it is a welcomed addition to our nightly readings. The pictures are adorable, but the content is perfect!! It enables us to discuss history and history's lessons on a level our son can understand. I highly recommend this book.
Bought this for my daughter who is homeschooling and teaching about the Constitution. It's a great supplement!
I really want to love this book. I love the premise and the intent. The rhymes are cute and the messages are great. The only problem is, I think that rhymes and the style and the stories themselves fit a 3-5 year old well, while the actual messages and many of the words used in the rhymes are a bit too advanced for that age group and would fit a 6-8 year old better. I was able to define the words for my (5 year old) daughter and I appreciate that it gave us the opportunity to talk about some of these important principles, but I feel like, to be most helpful in understanding the concepts in the book, we would need to read through the book every few months in the years to come, and I'm just not convinced that my daughter will enjoy the childish rhymes (and I don't mean that as a pejorative) enough to do that.

Two additional points...
I'd like to mention, for my fellow conservative atheists, there is only one story in this book that makes a reference to god, which I was able to re-word fairly easily. I'm not knocking the author for this, just pointing it out. It's tough finding kids books with patriotic messages that don't mention god over and over again; this one is actually good about that (from my perspective).

Anybody with a 2-4 year old that is interested in this genre should really get the four "American Virtues for Kids" books by David Mead and Chris Stamp; they are fantastic!
